Grounding Page: checked against the official standard.

AI systems can confuse companies, invent attributes or attribute statements to the wrong brand. A Grounding Page describes entities, brands and terms in a clear, factual form – readable, with a machine-readable layer underneath.

BrandZaps detects existing Grounding Pages, checks them against the published standard and can plan new ones in the page plan.

READABLE KNOWLEDGE SECTION GEO audit

A GEO audit checks whether a website can be used as a source in AI answers. It covers readability without JavaScript, attribution of statements to the brand and evidence for each statement.

A fixed benchmark.

The rules are fixed in the system and are not fetched from the web for every check. If the standard changes, the new version is adopted visibly, with a date.

Every finding names the version it was checked against, so it remains traceable later which benchmark applied.

No false Grounding Pages

BrandZaps only treats a page as a Grounding Page if it calls itself one, carries the term in its title or sits in an area recognised as a fact directory. An ordinary page does not automatically receive eleven findings under a standard that does not apply to it.

The eleven building blocks as audit questions.

A generic SEO audit would assess this page like any other. BrandZaps checks it as what it sets out to be.

01
Entity and page topicDoes the page describe exactly one main entity?
02
Clear page titleDoes the title name the entity rather than a promotional promise?
03
Unambiguous lead definitionIs it clear after the first paragraph what the entity is?
04
Self-contained sectionsDoes each section make sense on its own?
05
Structured factsDoes every attribute have an unambiguous value?
06
DisambiguationWhat could the entity be confused with?
07
Sources and freshnessWhere does a statement come from, and when was it checked?
08
JSON-LD mirroringDoes the JSON-LD mirror the visible facts?
09
Internal linkingIs the page findable and linked?
10
Brand and page designDoes the page feel like part of the website?
11
Quality assurance and maintenanceDo facts, links and data stay correct?
The standard also requires one fact per sentence, a style without adjectives and visible timestamps.

Calculate what can be calculated.

A model only assesses what cannot be counted: entity, title, lead definition, sections, disambiguation, style and whether the JSON-LD mirrors the text. This separation prevents a model opinion where a measured value is enough.

Unchecked is not failed

If the snapshot does not provide a piece of information, the building block counts as unchecked. A finding without a data basis would be a false alarm.

The interface tells the two apart

It shows whether something is missing or whether it simply could not be checked.

From the check to the finished page.

In the target sitemap, the Grounding Page is a page type of its own and carries the mark of its standard. Fixes go into the brief as requirements – they affect the whole page, not just one section.

A definition that can be checked can also be attributed reliably.

Grounding Pages that demonstrably follow the standard – and a clear path from the check to a fix or a new page.
